THE NEW YEAR COMES IN WITH, Mars continuing its retrograde motion in Gemini until the end of the month. This seems to keep the “wheels of the mind” spinning round and round. Therefore, resolutions, plans, and future oriented thinking will weave in and out of thoughts, which is fine as long we don’t allow worry to dominate. With the Sun and Jupiter in Capricorn during the month of January, we have a combination of physical and mental energy that highlights hard work, and those who are self-disciplined will earn rewards.

Jupiter continues its sojourn in Capricorn throughout 2008. This planet’s energy is always holding special opportunities if we are willing to do what is necessary to gain our due. Part of what is necessary in order to earn Jupiter’s rewards would be to use the power of Saturn in Virgo, that is take care of the smallest details in all your undertakings. Stay on task, and don’t put things aside that need to be completed. For you Capricorns, and Taureans, this isn’t too much to ask, but you Aries and Leo’s take heart. Don’t promise more than you can deliver! These two planets carry a lot of subjective power in our lives, and if you are conscientious things should go your way.

If you happen to be career conscious, look for this year to be generally one of less creativity and more mental demands. This could be a year in which you "table" long range planning in exchange for tying up lose ends. This year is about doing verses planning.

In relationships there might be battles, but don’t try to win the war! Working things out together with a common goal will bring out the best in everyone. Cooperation, consideration, compromise will be needed to have what you desire in all types of relationships. If you can remember this, you will have a smile on your face, and carry some peace in your heart. When thinking about love and marriage, look to 2008 as a time for creating strong and healthy foundations to create the long-lasting relationships you desire. The best months for tying the knot are March, April, June and December with September running in first place. The month of August is a time to reconcile you own feelings, and then process what your needs are so that as the fall approaches communication can be clear and concise. This will heal broken hearts and mend emotional fences.

Finances are always on our minds, and this year is no exception. In fact, this is the year to work with money matters. Seal deals, work on wills and trust funds, investigate good investments, and don’t hesitate to save this year. In fact, if you do decide this is the year to sock some money away, you will find that it was a blessing in disguise when you really do need it for unexpected expenses. This is a year that those surprises won’t always be good ones!

If you are traveling in June, expect the unexpected! Delays could dampen you trip until the 20th. July and August are better, but be sure you have receipts and confirmations ready. Again, this is the year to be sure you have covered all your bases!

The fall is full of activity, and in October be prepared for glitches in communication — those computers and phones that seem to develop a mind of their own! Back up your files, check on appointments and don’t take anything for granted. Reminders are important; those little post-it notes should be pasted all over. When the holidays approach in 2008 look for more intimate gatherings to hold the most power. Family and connections are so important beginning in mid-November. This would be a wonderful year to do something humanitarian, but as a group endeavor. The holidays are also filled with sensitivities and emotions, so keep you heart in the right place and joy will be yours.

May Mother/Father God fill you year with Light and Love, strength and reserve, peace and harmony.
